Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to our new website!

Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College is a successful, vibrant and a popular school where achievement and relationships are vitally important, and where all students are valued as individuals.  The College prides itself with its modern facilities, particularly for ICT including our own Internet Café and the extensive use of tablets to enhance students’ methods of learning.

Over the past few years Broadoak has seen the development of a very successful More Able & Talented programme across the whole curriculum.  We pride ourselves on our provision for More Able and Talented students, both inside and outside the classroom. This high quality provision begins even before students enrol at the school with our Year 5 and 6 outreach programmes.

Young people are at the very heart of the College not only do we value academic performance, but we also believe that students should enjoy their time at school and achieve across a whole range of areas. We provide a happy and safe environment within which students can experience opportunities beyond the classroom so that they can become engaged, independent learners and responsible and confident adults. Most importantly, our students are supported in making the right choices regarding their qualifications.

We will be holding our next Open Evening on Thursday 24th September, followed by a number of Open Mornings. However, we welcome visitors at any time of year, please call my PA Ms Fiona Docherty, who will be delighted to make an appointment for you.

We hope you will find our website interesting and informative. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter by following the links on our Home page. A copy of our Prospectus  can be viewed online or sent to you  upon request. Should you have any further questions please send an email to

Kind Regards,

Shelagh Pritchard
