The "World Culture Day" was a great success and almost all of the student feedback has said that they wished it had gone on for longer! There were 17 sessions showcasing a wide range of cultures and languages. The "Haka" was particularly successful with the Broadoak rugby team coming back at lunchtime to learn it!
The Holocaust speaker, Joanne Millan, was really interesting and many students, Mrs Hall and Miss Evans purchased books afterwards. Teachers were really impressed with the maturity and respect shown by students for this event.
The "Golden Tickets" went extremely quickly and over 80 student tried a variety of different foods at the European cuisine taster session.
A special thank you goes to Miss Evans, who arranged a thoroughly enjoyable week, together with the Modern Foreign Languages department. And also, Mr Marsh for preparing food for the event.
